Certification: Corrosion Technologist

This certification is geared towards individuals with at least 4 years of experience who possess basic knowledge of corrosion and corrosion control.

Application Procedure

An application must be submitted prior to taking the examination-only option to allow time for NACE to verify work experience requirements.

If seeking certification through the parallel path option, an application may be submitted upon successful completion of the required NACE course, for verification of work experience requirements.

Requirements Necessary to Achieve Certification

Option 1

  • Application - Corrosion Technologist
and one of the following:
and one of the following:
  • Certification - CP Specialist
  • Certification - CP Technician
  • Certification - CP Technologist
  • Certification - CP Tester
and one of the following:
and
  • 4 Years Corrosion Work Experience
and
  • High School Diploma / GED / or equivalent

Option 2

  • Exam - Corrosion Technologist
and
  • Application - Corrosion Technologist
and
  • 4 Years Corrosion Work Experience
and
  • High School Diploma / GED / or equivalent
ReCertification Requirements
All NACE Certifications must be renewed every three (3) years.
