    Application Procedure

CIP Level 2 certification requires 2 years of verifiable coatings related work experience. An approved application outlining your coating related work experience, including qualification references, is one of the REQUIREMENTS toward obtaining a NACE International Institute CIP Level 2 certification.

The new requirements above only apply to NEW CIP Level 2 applications. If you are already certified with a CIP Level 2 certification, there is no need to fill out the new application. However, you must complete the renewal application only when your certification is approaching expiration.

    Requirements Necessary to Achieve Certification
Effective January 1, 2016, the CIP Level 2 Certification will require 2 years verifiable coatings related work experience for all NEW certifications.
